Helping Older Adults & Families Find Hope & Healing

You're in the right place

Caring for an aging loved one can be deeply rewarding, but it can also feel overwhelming at times.
Maybe you’ve noticed changes in their memory, mood, or behavior. Perhaps they’ve experienced the loss of a spouse or a sudden health challenge that’s left them feeling uncertain—or left you unsure of how to help.
At Austin Mind Care (AMC), we understand how difficult these moments can be.
Our team is here to listen, support, and guide you through this journey, providing expert mental health care that puts both the patient and their family at the center of everything we do.

We don’t just treat conditions—we help people and families find stability, understanding, and peace of mind.

Our
Approach

At Austin Mind Care, we believe in collaboration—not just among our team members, but with you and your family.
Here’s how we help:
Psychiatry:
We diagnose and treat mental health conditions using a thoughtful combination of medication and lifestyle strategies, always tailored to the individual.
Therapy and Counseling:
Sometimes, what’s most needed is a safe space to talk. Our licensed therapists help individuals and families navigate the emotional challenges of aging, loss, and change.
Neurology Partnerships:
When memory concerns or neurological symptoms arise, we work closely with neurologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and comprehensive care.

First Visit ?
What to Expect

When you come to AMC for the first time, we take the time to get to know you and your loved one, exploring both current concerns and past experiences.

If needed, we may recommend lab work or imaging to give us a clearer picture of what’s happening.

Together, we’ll create a personalized care plan with your goals and values at the center.

This plan may include:

  • Medication management
  • Therapy or counseling referrals
  • Lifestyle adjustments
  • Support for caregivers and family members

We encourage families to be involved, because when everyone feels informed and supported, healing happens faster.

What does the first visit look like?

During the first meeting, we focus on your needs, fears and expectations. This is the time to get to know each other and discuss the best therapeutic path.

Is therapy for you?

You don't have to be "in crisis" to benefit from psychological help. If you feel that you want to change something in your life or understand yourself better – it's worth a try.
